Blessed!
Mondays just need to be part of the weekend!
With us having the past two Mondays off from snow, I have been able to get A LOT done with school and around the house. I finally organized our container cabinet and took a photo so that everyone in the house will know how to put the containers back the correct way. We also took our exhaust fan down and cleaned and dusted it. Yearly reminder: make sure you dust and clean them inside and out to prevent mold! Could we just make it a law that Mondays are personal workdays?
Evey woke up bright and early and sat up in her crib again and played with her stuffies. I had a dream last night that she just started crawling one day. I think her sitting up her in crib is helping her gain the strength and confidence she needs to begin crawling! I hope by February 14th I can say we have a crawler!
Evey did not have school today and she will not have school tomorrow. She had fun with her nurse today and I know she will have fun staying home again tomorrow. They worked on kneeling and rolling the ball back and forth. The nurse got her to say ball. It's super cute how she says it: She puts her lips together and forms the B and says B like a popping sound and finishes with ahh. So now she can say BYE and Bahh(ball).
She ate leftover TMR (Tickle my Ribs! The BEST) seasoned BBQ chicken and zucchini fries for lunch and then tried hamburger bowtie pasta for dinner. She didn't like how spicy it was so she ended up only eating her yogurt.
I think we have finally figured out her poop situation! Since Friday of last week we have only been giving her 60 ml of her toddler milk and the rest water at lunch and dinner. For breakfast she only drinks water. For the past TWO days she has not struggled to poop and it's been normal. I am hoping she continues on this trend. Prune juice definitely helps too!
While I was cleaning up dinner Laney and Evey had a photo shoot. You can see that Evey loves to play with string like objects and she loves to play peek-a boo! Between taking photos and being a food critic, Laney will easily have options for careers in the future.
We were all anxiously awaiting the call for a 2hr delay for tomorrow. I had given up hope and told the kids to start getting ready for bed. Laney was the only one that said, "Well he doesn't usually decide until around 7 or so anyway." She was right! He sent out the communication right at 7:11. We did a little happy dance and then we told the kids to still get upstairs to get ready for bed. Routines are important- they teach discipline.
I don't dread going to school tomorrow because Evey makes our lives more enjoyable. Her calm demeanor and the way she pats us when she knows we are upset just helps us all be calm. She makes our family a happy family and I am so excited to see what the future brings as she gets older. Thank you God for bringing Evey to our family and to the world to spread joy!
Be like a bee- hardworking, wise and delicate!
