Determined

Evey woke up in a HAPPY mood!

After I cleared her nose and got her cleaned up, we went downstairs to eat breakfast. She didn't want her waffle but ate Captain Crunch cereal. She saw Jonah eating it so she wanted to try it.

I checked in on her a few times during the day to make sure she was faring well. She did great all morning and was never fussy.  She slept good for her nap but woke up super congested. The nurse said that she got most of it out and by the time we got home she was in a better mood. The nurse said that she perked up after snack and had been in a happy mood ever since. Her happy mood continued until she went to bed.

Evey keeps getting into the crouching crawling position but never gets her core off the floor. She will get on her knees to stretch her core out and reach for an object but she never brings her core off the floor. She's figured out how to get what she wants without lifting herself off the floor. If I had that kind of flexibility, I'd feel amazing! Maybe I should try what she is doing!

After dinner, we played some more and she saw a toy that she hadn't played with in a while and started reaching for it. She was determined to get it! Before she got upset that the toy wasn't working, I got Joshua to put new batteries in it. Once she got a hold of it, she would not stop playing with it. It was a little hard getting her to go to bed because she wanted to keep playing with it.

Tomorrow she goes to Duke to get reevaluated by the occupational therapist and physical therapist to make sure she is continuing on the right path with her development. They will give us exercises we can do at home to continue her progress. I love this appointment because I learn a lot from it and it gives me a chance to see what others think outside of her providers in Greensboro.

Praying that she sleeps well tonight and this cold gets kicked to the curb soon!

Be like a bee- hardworking, wise and delicate!
