Get closer so I can see you!
Evey had her eye exam today!
The doctor noticed nystagmus in her right eye but it wasn't so bad that she needed a patch. She does look to her left or turn her head so that she can see better with her left eye. It's cute how she does it, but we still need to keep an eye on it ( no pun intended) to make sure it doesn't get worse. She wants to see her back in May to look at possibly getting a prescription for her. Evey with glasses? 😍😍😍
She had a really good day today and was very talkative to everyone. She woke up super happy, ate her cheerios and drank her water this morning. We are still trying to figure out the best remedy for her constipation because she will go one or two days with good BMs to the next day with hard painful BMs. As we were waiting for her school to open, she was having a hard time getting her BM out. She worked and worked and cried and cried until she got it out. IT was big! After I cleaned her up, she went back to being her happy self.
When I picked her up today she was working with the speech therapist and her communication device. Her communication device is really easy to use and right now we are just modeling it for her. She still prefers to sign over pressing a button. Our hope is that if she doesn't know the sign then she can find the button and press it. It's there for a resource for her, but I know for certain she will be talking in no time.
Since she had her appointment at 2pm, we were able to pick Ty up early from school. It was just me, Ty and Evey tonight while Joshua, Laney and Jonah all stayed at school to work the basketball game. We had fun watching Ty's robot dance and played a new nerf football game. Evey loved getting the pieces from Ty! Ty even made a snowflake with water colors. We hung it in our window so that snow would know to come to our house!
We watched a little Ms Rachel after supper and then we headed to bed. I don't think anyone is going to get any sleep tonight because we are ALL super excited for the snow!
Be like a bee- hardworking, wise, and delicate!
