Home alone

Being home alone with 4 kids can be hard, especially at night after a long day at work.

Thankfully Laney and Jonah are old enough that they can help out a litte. We had a busy night of doing laundry, packing and icing a cake all before 7:30. Evey's congestion is almost gone and she had a really productive day playing, eating and sleeping. I am so glad she stayed home for another day of rest!

When it's just me and the kids at home by ourselves, I get the big kids to decide what we have for dinner. It's got to be something easy and quick and preferably something Laney can fix while I am taking care of Evey. Before we picked up Ty, we made a pitstop to the Food Lion and I had them pick out something for us to eat. They both decided on White Castle hamburgers and breaded mozzarella cheese sticks. All the kids ate it up including Evey.

Her little cheeks are super chapped from all of the nose wiping.  I put vitamin E oil mixed with coconut oil on them when she wakes up and the nurse puts some on after her nap. I also put it on right before bed. I think it's helping some but they still look really bad. It makes me hurt for her.

She was in a silly mood this afternoon with Laney. I was in the kitchen making the icing for Laney's birthday cake since we will be celebrating with my family tomorrow and all I heard was giggles from Evey. I am so glad that Laney's wish of having a baby sister came true. Their bond will always be special!

Tomorrow will be a busy day and I think everyone is excited. Evey fell asleep quickly and is peacefully sleeping. Sometimes I wish I could sleep hard like her!

Be like a bee-hardworking, wise and delicate!
