Party in the crib

Evey woke up this morning at 1am ready to party.

I tried to see if she would go back to sleep on her own but she kept getting louder and louder so I went into her room, picked her up and rocked her for 45 minutes. She was not going back to sleep. I decided to lay her back down in her crib and just wait. Well, she sat right back up and sang to herself doing the hand motions and everything. I should have recorded it, but I was so tired. It was pretty entertaining though.

She had a great weekend recouping from her nasty virus. She does have a lingering cough so we are hopeful that will go away soon. Maybe with this snow coming in, it will help dry it out. Her evaluations for her therapies are starting to get scheduled. We have her speech scheduled for this Friday, her PT scheduled for Monday and her OT, TBD. OT did call me, but they wanted to do a virtual evaluation. I politely said no and told them that she is severely behind and that someone needs to come in person to do the evaluation. How would you do an OT virtual evaluation anyway? PT and speech maybe, but OT? We had to do PT  virtually with Jonah in 2020 so I get how that can be done, but OT is so much more complex.  They tried to say it was because they were so far behind, mmhmm, that's your problem, not Evey's. Hopefully, they will be able to get someone to our house before the end of next week.

Evey had a wonderful weekend. We worked on standing and getting into the crawling position and we were able to reintroduce her to her toddler milk. She was SO happy to be able to get that back. The boys had fun with her sitting in between them while we watched a movie and Laney was able to have some alone time with Evey while the boys were in Mt. Airy. She is getting stronger at holding her water cup too!

Each kid has their own relationship with Evey and I love seeing how it grows from day to day. Laney is Evey's security blanket, Jonah is Evey's protector and helper and Ty is Evey's play partner- I see them getting in squabbles when they get older. Evey trying to tell Ty what to do and Ty aggravating Evey. Their love for Evey will always keep them together!

Be like a bee-hardworking, wise and delicate.
